You are welcome at Butte College!
Whether you are a first-time student or a returning student, whether you are seeking to complete a degree or certificate at our Main Campus, through our online course offerings or at our Chico Center or Glenn County Center, Butte College welcomes you!
Butte College opened its doors on September 23, 1968, to 1,194 students. Located on a 928-acre Wildlife Refuge in the center of Northern California’s Butte County, Butte College has emerged as a national leader in sustainability. Butte College serves a diverse student population and, since 2018, has been designated as a Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI) with 31% of our students identifying as Hispanic/Latinx. Additionally, Butte College is accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (ACCJC/WASC).
