Meet Interim Vice President Denise Adams
As interim vice president for human resources, training and employee development, Denise Adams provides leadership for the college’s employee-centered initiatives that support faculty, staff, and the overall campus community. With more than two decades of progressive leadership experience in higher education, healthcare, and organizational management, Adams brings a collaborative approach to fostering a supportive and effective workplace culture.
Adams oversees a broad range of areas that shape the employee experience and student experience. Her work helps ensure that Butte College continues to attract, support, and retain talented employees while advancing a culture of continuous improvement, inclusion, and employee success.
Before stepping into her current role, Adams served as dean of health and public services at Butte College, where she helped lead programs that prepared students for careers in healthcare and public service fields. Prior to joining the college more than a decade ago, she held executive leadership roles in healthcare, where she was responsible for strategic planning, human resources management, compliance, labor relations, and organizational development.
My goal is to build upon Butte College’s strong culture by supporting and empowering the people who make our mission possible. Through collaboration, professional growth, and meaningful engagement, we can continue creating an environment where employees and students alike can thrive.
