Program Research and Recommendation Committee

The Program Research and Recommendation Committee (PRR) evaluates educational programs and provides recommendations that support student success, workforce needs, and program vitality at Butte College.

Role of the Committee

The Program Research and Recommendation Committee (PRR) helps ensure Butte College programs remain relevant, effective, and responsive to student and community needs.

PRR evaluates educational programs and provides recommendations on:

  • New program development
  • Program improvement and support
  • Program revitalization
  • Program discontinuance
The committee reviews programs that lead to a certificate, degree, or other defined educational outcome. Its goal is to help ensure programs align with student demand, workforce needs, and the college’s mission.

PRR meets on scheduled Mondays from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Our meeting location is SAS 360 (unless specified otherwise).
