We are the Contract Education Department within Butte College that offers workforce, technical, and professional training designed to help employers strengthen teams and meet business goals while helping individuals upskill, build new skills, improve performance, and grow in their careers.
You do not have to be a Butte College student to take any of our trainings.
We are open to the public. You do not have to be registered as a Butte College student to participate.
The Training Place serves employers, employees, job seekers, students, and community members seeking skill development, workforce training, and professional growth opportunities.
All of them! - Training can be customized for technical skills, leadership, communication, safety, software, compliance, and industry-specific workforce needs. Performance consulting is available to help identify root causes and build training solutions that improve employee and team performance.
It depends - The cost of training, and pricing varies by program, materials, course length, and customization needs. Current pricing can be found on the The Training Place registration page. Training funds, grants, or reimbursement opportunities may also be available for eligible employers and participants.
No - Ed2Go courses do not appear on a Butte College academic transcript because Ed2Go is an educational partner that provides professional development and continuing education courses. Most courses provide a certificate of completion through Ed2Go after successfully completing the course requirements.
