The Black Leadership and Cultural Center (BLAC Center) promotes the academic, cultural, social, and political consciousness of students of African descent by actively engaging in institutional partnerships that will result in the overall increase of student recruitment, active participation, retention, and graduation rates.

The 2025 Black Graduation Celebration was more than just a ceremony—it was a powerful gathering of joy, legacy, and community. Surrounded by love and rooted in excellence, we celebrated every degree earned, every certificate completed, and every next step boldly taken.
Under the theme “Let Yo Light Shine,” you showed up and showed out. You reminded us what it looks like to move through systems with grace, to make room for others as you rise, and to carry the hopes of generations forward.
