Homecoming Celebration Returns Sept. 22–26

Butte College will celebrate Roadrunner pride with a weeklong Homecoming celebration September 22–26, bringing students, alumni, employees and community members together for a series of events leading up to the annual Homecoming football game and Alums and Friends Barbecue on Saturday, September 26.

Homecoming Week kicks off Tuesday, Sept. 22, with Black and Gold Day, when Butte College students and community members are encouraged to wear the Roadrunners’ colors in support of the college.

On Wednesday, Sept. 23, the college will host Belonging at Butte from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Main Campus, followed by Spirit Day on Thursday, Sept. 24, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Both events will celebrate the Roadrunner community and the many people who make Butte College a place to learn, connect and belong.

The celebration continues Friday, Sept. 25, with the Butte College Hall of Fame Dinner at the Campus Center, honoring the 2026 inductees and celebrating their accomplishments and contributions to the Roadrunner community.

Homecoming Week culminates Saturday, Sept. 26, with the Alums and Friends Barbecue beginning at 11 a.m. at the Cowan Sports Complex on the college’s Main Campus. The barbecue gives alums, students, friends and community members a chance to reconnect and celebrate Butte College.

At 1 p.m., the Butte College Roadrunners will take on Modesto Junior College at Cowan Stadium. During halftime, the college will recognize the 2026 Butte College Hall of Fame inductees.

Tickets for the barbecue and football game are sold separately and are available at ButteRoadrunners.com. Butte College students receive free admission to the football game with a valid student ID.
