Trustee Boeger Honored by California Agricultural Leadership Foundation
Butte
College Trustee Michael Boeger added another honor to his long
career of service when he was recognized with the "Profiles in
Leadership Award" by the California Agricultural Leadership
Foundation (CALF). Boeger was honored during the CALF Class 55
Inauguration & Awards Dinner on October 3, 2025, in Fresno,
California.
Elected in 1985, Boeger has spent nearly 40 years representing Area IV - Gridley on the Butte College Board of Trustees. During his tenure, he helped guide the institution through two bond measures, the expansion of satellite centers, and periods of transformative growth. Beyond his contributions to higher education, Boeger has advanced the rice industry through his leadership on the California Rice Research Board, where his work has reflected his commitment to integrity and innovation.
The "Profiles in Leadership Award" was established in 1995 to honor CALF alumni whose actions have had a purposeful impact on agriculture, community, government, education, or the environment. Other 2025 honorees included Dino Giacomazzi, along with "Lifetime Leadership Award" recipients Dr. Peggy Sears Perry and Bart Fisher.
"We were honored to celebrate Dr. Peggy Perry, Bart Fisher, Mike Boeger, and Dino Giacomazzi for their outstanding leadership and service," said Lesa Eidman, president & CEO of CALF. "Each of these honorees exemplifies servant leadership. Through their vision, integrity, and commitment, they have advanced California agriculture, enriched the lives of others, and set a powerful example for future leaders. Their impact will be felt for generations to come."
"On behalf of Butte College, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to Trustee Boeger on this well-deserved honor," Superintendent/President Virginia Guleff stated. "His recognition by the California Agricultural Leadership Foundation is a reflection of his deep commitment to our students, agriculture, and our community."
