Football Players Commit to 4 Year Colleges

Three Butte College football student-athletes have committed to offers from four-year universities. Jace Villapania, Joseph Sapp and Xavier Jones signed letters of intent during a signing ceremony on Wednesday, Dec. 15 at the Butte College Kinesiology and Athletics Performance Center.

All three students maintained a GPA above 3.0 while attending Butte College. Villapania will be joining fellow Butte College alumni and football players Siasosi Finau and Marshal Brose at Colorado Mesa University, who signed with the university last spring. Villapania said reuniting with his former Butte College football teammates was a deciding factor. Joseph Sapp will join the University of Sioux Falls, and Xavier Jones will join Davenport University.
