Carrie Roberson

I have been teaching courses full-time at Butte College for 25+ years and currently serve as a faculty representative for the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges. I graduated with an Associate of Arts (AA) in Liberal Studies then subsequently obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies/ Child Development and continued my education to receive a Master of Science (MS) in Education with an emphasis on Curriculum & Instruction.

 

I believe the value of education is priceless! My desire to educate and an intrinsic love for studying human development inspires me every day. My primary goal is to provide students with an opportunity to create a realistic and successful vision for themselves through educational experiences that are accessible, valuable, and relevant considering various life dynamics. I strive to support each student in finding their potential through considering one’s lived experiences and uniqueness. I think it is imperative to recognize that each of us has our own viewpoints and ideas which opens the unlimited potential to learn from each other as well as to learn with each other. I believe that learning is an iterative and ongoing process; I strive to provide every student with an opportunity to succeed.
