Scholarships

Scholarships are financial awards that help students pay for college and do not need to be repaid. Foundations, businesses, community organizations, or local clubs typically fund them.

Scholarships are awarded based on criteria set by the donor, such as academic achievement, career goals, community service, leadership, or special talents. Unlike grants, which are usually based primarily on financial need, scholarships are often awarded for achievements, skills, or other specific criteria set by the donor.
