Help Students Thrive

Thanks to the generosity of our donors, the Butte College Foundation awards hundreds of scholarships each year, opening doors for students in nursing, law enforcement, agriculture, and many other fields. These scholarships don’t just ease financial burdens—they affirm students’ potential and inspire them to keep going.

Donors can contribute to an existing scholarship or work with the Foundation to create a personalized annual or endowed scholarship that reflects their values and passions.

In addition to Foundation scholarships, we are proud to facilitate external scholarships from local service clubs, businesses, and community organizations—further demonstrating the incredible support our students receive from the community that surrounds them.

Help first-time, full-time students—of any age—attend Butte College tuition-free and pursue a certificate, degree, or transfer to a four-year university.

While the State of California currently provides partial funding for the Promise Scholarship, this support is not guaranteed in the long term. To ensure the program’s sustainability regardless of legislative changes, the Butte College Foundation manages a dedicated Promise Scholarship Endowment.

Thanks to a generous $1 million gift from the Grossman Family and the continued support of many other dedicated donors, the endowment is growing, but we need your help to continue expanding access to higher education and empowering students for generations to come.

Create a lasting legacy that reflects your values and vision. Endowed gifts provide continuing support for scholarships, academic programs, or faculty development, ensuring your impact continues for generations of Butte College students.

You can contribute to an existing endowed fund, or, with a minimum gift of $10,000, establish and name your own fund to support what matters most to you.

From athletics to music, career education to STEM, your gift can be directed to the program or department that means the most to you. These contributions enhance learning environments, provide equipment, and fund student enrichment opportunities.

Roadrunner Hub: Basic Needs Resource Center 

Support students facing food insecurity, housing instability, or financial hardship. The Hub provides groceries, hygiene items, and referrals to critical services. 

Professional Attire Fund 

Help students show up with confidence and professionalism. Your gift provides access to professional clothing for interviews, internships, and career fairs—moments that can define a future. 

This fund also supports students attending professional conferences and competitions, where appropriate attire is essential to making a strong impression and fully participating in career-building experiences. 

Student Emergency Fund

Be there when it matters most. This fund offers rapid-response financial assistance to students facing unexpected crises—so they can stay enrolled and focused on their future.
