The Art/Digital Art & Design Department announces Past and Present: Current Work by Alexandra Sprowls. The exhibit will be on display from January 25th – February 26th, 2010 in the Butte College Art Gallery. An opening reception will take place on Wednesday, February 3rd from 4:30 -7:00 p.m., with the artist talk at 4:30 p.m. Refreshments will be served and the event is free and open to the public.
The ADAD Department is proud to present the work of artist, Alexandra Sprowls, recent recipient of an Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Studio Art, with an emphasis in Painting, from the San Francisco Art Institute (SFAI). This exhibit displays the work of the artist from the outset of her art studies at the SFAI and focuses on her current work. Sprowls’ ephemeral paintings allow for the exploration of emotive and internalized states through movement and the intrinsic nature of paint, silk and solid surface
