Butte College Announces Three Superintendent/President Finalists

Open Public Forums Set for March 29, 30

After a national search, the Interviewing Committee for the Butte College Superintendent/President search met on March 7 and 8, 2016 to interview semi-finalist candidates. From a strong pool of highly qualified candidates, the Interviewing Committee recommended three individuals to the Board of Trustees as finalists. At the March 15, 2016 special meeting of the Board of Trustees, the Board reviewed candidate materials and discussed the recommendations of the Interviewing Committee. The Board of Trustees voted unanimously in closed session to accept the recommendations of the Interviewing Committee.

"The three finalists will visit Butte College on March 29 and 30 to participate in open public forums as well as interviews with the Board of Trustees. We strongly encourage all members of the campus community and the public at-large to attend the public forums and meet the candidates. All attendees will have the opportunity to provide feedback about each of the candidates which will be shared with the Board of Trustees as part of their deliberation process. Candidate Feedback Forms will be provided at each forum," said William McGinnis, Butte College Trustee, and Chairman of the Butte College Superintendent/President Search Committee.
