We are a group of students who are curious, ambitious, and diverse. We are looking to get more out of education than a piece of paper.
We have the opportunity to study subjects like Anthropology, English, Biology, and others in a collaborative environment.
After only 5 or 6 classes and a 1-unit capstone project you will be awarded the Honors Certificate of Achievement, which enhances your college resumé.
Honors classes fulfill GE requirements and transfer directly to 4yr schools.
Many of our students have gone on to UC Berkeley, UCLA, UC Davis and other great schools!
Rather than being lectured at for hours, our classes are discussion based.
Since our classes are only available to students in our program, you won't have to fight the crowds to enroll!
Qualifications for Admission
Have you passed English 2 or its equivalent with a B?
Are you currently enrolled in English 2?
Did you get a 3 or better on the AP English test?
Can you tell us a bit about yourself and your goals in 250 words or so?
Guess what! If you answered, "yes" to any of these questions, then you're an honors student!
Our classes can be found in the course catalog or online under their specific subjects; they will have an "H" next to the course number, like: BIOL 9H, ANTH 4H, or ENG 53H. Some courses, including the capstone, may also be listed under "HON" as in HON 1-7.
You must have passed English 2 with a "B" or better—or be concurrently enrolled when you begin the program.
