CAS Tutor-Supported Computer Labs
CAS provides two drop-in Computer Labs on main campus and one at the Chico Center. By law, these labs are available for academic use only. Group study rooms inside CAS are also available for students to reserve.
LRC 224 is the main CAS drop-in Computer Lab, located inside CAS in the Learning Resource Center on main campus. The lab is open Monday through Thursday, 8:00 am to 4:45 pm, and Friday, 8:00 am to 2:45 pm. Students interested in using this lab must check in at the CAS front desk. A computer tutor is scheduled in this lab to assist students with any school-related computer questions.
LRC 143 is an additional CAS Student-Use Drop-in Lab. This lab is located on the first floor of the Learning Resource Center on main campus and is open Monday through Thursday, 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. A computer tutor is also scheduled in this lab to assist students.
The Chico Center Computer Lab in CHC 231 is open for the summer 2015 session Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m, and is closed on Fridays.
Any currently enrolled Butte College student may check in to use these labs for school assignments, Blackboard course work, and Internet research. A trained Computer Tutor is always scheduled in these labs to help students with any questions related to documents, files, Internet research, or use of the computer or printer. Printing, which requires a print card purchased from the Book Store, is only 5 cents per page in both CAS labs on main campus. Accessing chat rooms, games, or pornographic material is not allowed in any CAS lab. Inappropriate use of campus labs will be reported immediately to the Dean of Students.
