Late Starting/Short Semester Classes also available.
With more leisure time, freedom to travel and money, Californians are placing increasing demands on the state's recreational facilities. Government and private enterprises are rapidly developing more facilities to accommodate this heavy use. Trained personnel are needed to operate, manage and supervise such facilities.
Positions are available with the California Department of Parks and Recreation, U.S. Forest Service, California Department of Forestry, municipal and private parks and campgrounds, country clubs and golf courses.
The work is varied. However, certain basic skills remain fundamental. For example, proficiency in equipment operation and maintenance, surveying, plant and physical science, and applied mathematics is desirable.
