PHILOSOPHY 2 -INTRO TO PHILOSOPHY

M2717 MC-254 TTH 9:30 - 10:50 AM: This course is an introduction to the nature of philosophical thought and skills. Issues that traditionally have been of central importance in philosophical inquiry will be emphasized. This includes the nature of knowledge (e.g., skepticism, truth, and scientific methodology), reality (e.g., free will, mind/body problem, existence of God), and values (relativism, foundation of morality). You'll write 2500+ words.

PHILOSOPHY 8 - METHODS OF ARGUMENT

N5695: ONLINE COURSE. A study of, and instruction in, argumentative writing, including traditional topics in logic. Prerequisite: English 2 with a "C" grade or better. Transfer: UC, CSU. An IGETC course; you'll write 6000+ words.

PHILOSOPHY 18 - EASTERN RELIGIONS

N4186 & N5443: ONLINE COURSE. A study of major traditions of Asia, including Hinduism, Buddhism, Confucianism, and Daoism. Meets CSUC's Global Cultures requirement. You'll write 2500+ words.
