Welcome to Butte College - the largest community college campus in California. Our entire 928.63 acres, situated in the foothills of the southern Cascade Range along the margin of the Great Central Valley, has been a designated wildlife refuge since it's creation in 1973. With a topographic range in elevations of 260 to 750 feet, our campus contains a mosaic of plant communities which provide food, lodging and breeding grounds for a great variety of wildlife and allow abundant resources for our programs in Agriculture, Natural Resources, Environmental Studies, Biology and other programs our college offers.

About our Web Site

It is our hope that this Web site gives some practical knowledge and a greater appreciation for what Butte College has to offer you. We encourage students and the general public to visit our beautiful campus and explore the fascination of its ecological abundance and diversity. Enjoy browsing through our site!
