The Talloires Declaration (TD) - The Butte College constituency groups, The Associated Students Body, Academic Senate and Classified Senate, and Management Associatioin, have endorsed this declaration through their constituency. The American College & University Presidents Climate Commitment - The Presidents Climate Commitment was signed by Butte-Glenn Community College District's president Dr. Diana Van Der Ploeg on January 10, 2007. Sustainability Steering Committee - Butte College Sustainability Committee consists of students, staff, faculty and administrators. The committee carries out its goals in collaboration with colleagues from within Facilities Planning and Management and the larger campus community.
The Sustainability Resource Center is a place for students, staff, and faculty to further educate themselves on Sustainability issues and become involve in the efforts at Butte College, the community, and beyond. The Center has a small library of books, DVDs, magazines, and other publications on Sustainability, and provides support to students on writing assignments and presentations relating to Sustainability. Current hours of operation are Mondays and Wednesdays from 9am-1pm and Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 9am-11am.
