Rebuilding
Childrens’ Lives-The
A Blueprint for Treatment/Foster Parents
The
Boys Town Curriculum is a proven program that has successfully served more than
24,000 youth in out of home care. Rebuilding Children’s Lives draws on this
model to offer an approach to foster parenting that combines compassion with
practical, outcome oriented strategies for teaching youth how to change their
behaviors. In addition to providing continual learning opportunities for a
youth, this approach enables Treatment/Foster Parents to improve the quality of
care they provide, reduce negative behavior, and build on their youth’s
strengths. This class series is appropriate for caregivers, foster parents,
parents, teachers, therapists, social workers, and childcare providers. Lisa
will focus instruction on how to apply this model to your specific
needs/situation. Problem solving for participants attending the workshops will
be a priority in any class session.
