Dr. Diana Van Der Ploeg, Superintendent-President and Steve Visconti, CARD General Manager announce that Butte College and Chico Area Recreation and Park District have formed a new partnership to offer a stronger program with more opportunities for the community.
"We see this as a win-win for the community. This is a great example of a college-community partnership that will benefit everyone," said Steve Visconti. According to Dr. Van Der Ploeg, "Butte College and CARD were offering local residents the same community education classes which didn't make much sense because class sizes were equally small and we were duplicating expenses."
