• We will be in Costa Rica from January 25 to March 9, 2009.
  
• Our 15 or 16 unit curriculum integrates Spanish, Psychology and Service Learning. Download Application Packet.
  
• Program coordinators Ileana Gantt and Christine Wood embrace an interdisciplinary approach in cooperation with Costa Rican teachers and facilitators.
  
• Application of skills and knowledge is integral; it will be experienced on a daily basis in a variety of settings:
• Two week family stay and Spanish classes at CPI Language School in Monteverde.
  
• Two weeks of volunteer work at Flor de Paraíso ecological farm in Cartago.
  
• Five days in the Dúrika Sustainable Community.
  
• Five days in Hacienda Barú on the Southern Pacific coast.
  
• Six days days in Grecia, Alajuela where we will finish
  projects and presentations and enjoy visits to
  UPEACE, La Paz Waterfall Gardens and the Poás Volcano.
