He has enjoyed numerous championships at both the varsity men's and varsity woman's levels, and has coached many athletes at the state level. Seth participated in both cross-country and track at Butte College. He was the Golden Valley Conference Champion in the 800 meters in 1980 and 800, 1500, in 1981. He went on in the 800 meters to be the Nor-Cal Champion and placed 4th at the state finals. He was honored to receive the title of "Butte College Outstanding Athlete" in 1981. Seth continued his running career at Chico State University, where he was a two-time finalist in the 800 meters of the NCAA National Track and Field Finals. Coach Roberts is in his 2nd year as the Butte College Head cross-country coach. Coming off a very fine year, both men's and women's teams won Golden Valley Conference Championships and trips to the state finals in 2004. Seth maintains a positive attitude and he knows what it takes to compete at the college level. He is excited about building strong cross-country teams in both men and women's level.
