The Butte College Tech Prep Program is a cooperative effort of the college, ten of the comprehensive high schools in Butte and Glenn Counties and the Regional Occupational Programs in Butte and Glenn Counties. The program assists local high schools and the college in their efforts to prepare all students for success in the new economy.

Integration of academic and occupational education, teaching students within a meaningful context, hands-on learning, and sequencing of secondary and postsecondary curriculum are emphasized. The Tech Prep Program is an effective tool in reforming education to meet the needs of the 21st Century workplace.
