Orientation

IMPORTANT MESSAGE TO NEW STUDENTS:  The effects of the California budget crisis are being felt by community college students around the state and Butte College is no exception.  In reaction to the state budget crisis, Butte College has been forced to cut courses from the schedule.

These state imposed budget cuts come at a time of unprecedented demand for education at Butte College and enrollment trends reveal a significant increase compared to last year.  As a result, students are now finding it difficult, if not impossible, to find open courses and create a full schedule.

We continue to make every effort to provide the best possible education and supportive services that funding will allow, however you will be faced with the possibility of not being able to enroll full time at Butte College.  Given the difficulty of acquiring a full schedule of classes if you still choose to pursue starting school this coming Spring, you will have the advantage of being a Continuing Student and having priority registration for the next semester.

Again, we thank you for choosing Butte College and we will do our best to support your educational goals.
