In June 2009 the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges (ACCJC) fully reaffirmed the accreditation for Butte College for the maximum allowable duration of six years based on a review of the college’s self-study and a site visit. As a normal part of the accreditation process, the college was required to submit a mid-term report describing the steps it has taken to address the recommendations made during the 2009 accreditation site visit as well as the planning agendas identified by the college in its self-study. The college submitted its mid-term report in March and the ACCJC accepted this report at its June 2012 meeting.
“We’re very pleased that the ACCJC accepted our mid-term report and that our accreditation is reaffirmed through 2015. Butte College offers the highest possible quality of education because our remarkable faculty and staff truly care about the success of every student,” said Dr. Kimberly Perry, Butte College President. “Our continuing success with accreditation shows that the college’s instructional programs, services, and operations are focused on educational quality and student success.”
Butte College will submit its next accreditation self-study and receive its site visit in Spring 2015.
