After School Program Students Set For Kids Challenge Day at Butte College

Select students who attend the Butte County Office of Education After School Program will participate at the 5th Annual "Kids Challenge" Day at Butte College on Thursday, March 29, from 2-5:30 pm.  There will be 22 schools throughout Butte County participating and approximately 500 students at the event.

Students will arrive and receive a tour of the campus.  Following the tour, students will congregate in the gymnasium to receive a welcome from Butte County Superintendent Don McNelis and Butte College President Dr. Kimberly Perry.  Students will then cheer on one representative from their school in an academic trivia tournament.  Winning teams will earn a plaque and Visa Gift Card courtesy of Tri Counties Bank.  The purpose of the event is to promote the benefits of attending college to 4th – 8th graders.
