Butte College’s Training Place and the Chico Chamber of Commerce have announced a new partnership that will offer Chamber members special pricing for any trainings held at The Training Place, 2320 Forest Avenue in Chico, through 2011. The new partnership will be detailed at a Butte College Training Place Open House, October 14, 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., at 2320 Forest Ave, in Room 107.
The Training Place will offer a sponsor mixer followed by presentations on the new Chico Chamber partnership and the valuable business trainings offered through The Training Place. Speakers for the evening include: Dr. Diana Van Der Ploeg, Butte College President; and Annie Rafferty, Executive Director of The Training Place. Additionally, Training Place staff and clients will be on hand to share their experiences and success stories.
“We are pleased to partner with the Chico Chamber of Commerce by offering affordable and quality training programs to the community, ”said Annie Rafferty, executive director of the Butte College Training Place. “Our goal is to work with businesses to develop staff talent and improve how employees contribute to the organization’s success.”
The Training Place offers personalized training for businesses including, but not limited to: Supervisor and Manager Development, Lean Enterprise Training, Communication and Conflict Management, Search Engine Optimization and Management, Sales and Service, Customer Service Training, Computer Training and more. These not for credit Butte College training classes are offered during the weekdays ranging from 3 hour to 24 hour programs.
As part of the California Community College Economic and Workforce Development Program, The Training Place assists local businesses in advancing their economic growth through high quality education and services focusing on continuous workforce improvement.
