Butte College's Regional Health Occupations Resource Center and The Training Place, in partnership with University of Southern California State Capital Center, are pleased to bring four national speakers to Chico as they present their 2009 Health Care Leadership series. These speakers were selected for their ability to motivate and inspire senior staff members and executives in a variety of industries. "While the focus will be on the health care industry, which is one of the few stable industries in today's turbulent economy, the strategies shared are relevant across all business, nonprofit and government agencies," said Linda Zorn, Butte College Director of the Regional Health Occupations Resource Center.
The final speaker of the series, Ron Gilbert, has worked with over 1,000 organizations specializing in organizational development, customer focused organizations, service quality, program evaluation and team building. Additionally, he will focus on customer service excellence and cycles of service.
"Employees will benefit from these informative sessions led by national speakers," said Annie Rafferty, Butte College Director of the Training Place. "Now, more than ever, attendees will be inspired to take skills learned and implement them at their workplace to achieve higher profits, increased productivity and reduced employee turnover."
Some of the key topics to be discussed during the four part series include values based leadership, effective approaches to negotiation, change management tools and developing high performance teams.
The series begins on Friday, February 6, with additional sessions scheduled for February 20, March 6, and March 27. Participants will receive a discount to attend all four sessions. The last session will include a leadership skills assessment and a personal development plan to improve leadership effectiveness.
All sessions will be held at Butte College Training Place, 2320 Forest Avenue in Chico. The cost for the series is $399 or $150 per session. Space is limited and the registration deadline is January 26. Continuing education credits are available. For more information, please contact 530-879-9049
