The Butte College Student Health Clinic is offering free H1N1 vaccines and flu mist as well as seasonal flu mist to students, faculty and staff as well as their families, while supplies last.
The H1N1 flu mist is recommended for people ages 5 to 24 years old and the H1N1 vaccine is recommended for people 25 years and older. The seasonal Flu Mist is recommended for people ages 5 to 50 years old.
“It’s estimated the flu season will kick into gear in mid-January, and we want to support our students, staff and their families to ensure they have access to the free vaccine,” said Nip Boyes, Butte College’s Student Health Clinic assistant director. “No appointment is necessary, but it would be best to call for an appointment.”
Anyone under 17 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
The clinic will reopen on January 4. The hours, Monday through Friday are 7:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. To schedule an appointment, call 530-895-2441.
