Butte College Coyote Art Gallery Presents
Michael Diven's Multi Media Exhibit: "And So it Goes"
The Butte College Coyote Art Gallery is pleased to present the exhibit, "And So it Goes," by acclaimed artist Michael Diven, at the main campus, 3536 Butte Campus Drive.
A Paradise resident, Diven holds a master’s degree of fine arts degree in painting from the San Francisco Art Institute. For more than four decades, his bold and captivating mixed media paintings and drawings have been featured in solo and group exhibits through out the United State garnering much acclaim. Diven has taught at universities in Nevada, Montana and California, including Chico State, and has received numerous awards. Praise for his art has appeared in both Artforum and Artweek. The San Francisco Arts Commission, San Francisco Hall of Justice and Peoples Bank of Seattle are among his many collectors.
“The inspiration for my art comes from a variety of sources – dreams that I remember, some memories from my childhood, ideas that spring from a story I hear, a chance everyday occurrence, a political event, or an environmental concern that affects us all,” says Diven.
“And So It Goes” is featured at the Butte College Coyote Gallery through October 9. The Coyote Art Gallery is located on the Butte College campus, 3536 Butte Campus Drive, in swing space F closest to parking lot 3.
