Travel & Conference - Innovation Award

Open to Full-Time and Associate Faculty, Classified Staff and MSC Members
Application Deadline: Friday, May 27, 2016 @ midnight.

The priorities identified in the California Department of Finance, Innovation in Higher Education Award program aim to address the following:

  • Increase the number of bachelor's degree awarded,
  • Allow students to complete bachelor's degrees within four years after beginning higher education, and
  • Ease transfer through the state's education system by better recognizing learning that occurs through the state's education segments and elsewhere.

As a recipient of an Innovation Award, Butte College proposes to use these funds to accelerate the efforts to fully implement the Student Progression and Completion Model (see below) and to meet its goals for Student Achievement. Nine tracks have been identified in the Innovation Award Concept to be implemented over a five year project period. All applications for Travel and Conference MUST be directly relevant to one (or more) of the nine tracks identified to be implemented with Innovation Award funding in order to be eligible for funding consideration.
