Bruce Hicks is the lead instructor and advisor for the Agriculture Business and Agriculture Science Programs. He graduated with Bachelors and Masters Degrees from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. His industry work experience includes five years in production management and an ongoing international agricultural development consulting practice that has taken him to Afghanistan, Ghana, Tajikistan, Egypt, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Honduras, and several other countries.

Carrie Vanella graduated from the University of California at Davis with a degree in Agricultural Economics. Born and raised on an almond orchard, she has also worked several years in the agriculture business industry, including banking and farm & ranch appraisal. She resides in Chico with her husband, Ryan and two boys, Carson and Ryley. She and Ryan are both employed in the family Almond farming and processing business, Vanella Farms. Carrie is actively involved in the Northern Valley California Women for Agriculture Chapter and at her boys' schools. She enjoys spending time with her family, sewing and antiquing.

Born in Petaluma, Bill is a native Californian that transferred to CSU, Chio from Santa Rosa Jr. College. Bill is married with grown children that also reside in Butte County. Bill graduated from CSU, Chico majoring in agriculture with additional interest in biology, and has worked in either construction or agriculture during his entire career. Bill is Executive Director of Green Planet Plastics Inc., and serves on the Butte County Code Enforcement Commission. Green Planet Plastics facilitates agriculture plastic retrieval throughout the Sacramento Valley.
