Nov. 21

In the State Play-Offs Butte College drew Cosumnes River College of Sacramento. The match ended in a 3-0 loss for the Lady Roadrunners ending their 2009 season. “I am very proud of what our group has accomplished this year and they have added to the collective history of our program. As we move forward we look ahead to the freshman who will lead us in 2010 as sophomores and thank those current sophomores who have given what they have.”

Nov. 13

In the GVC Championship match Butte College loss to rival FRC 2-0. The game was evenly played throughout the match which saw Feather River score two early goals and hold on to the lead. Monica Augustine had eight saves on the day.

Nov. 10

Butte traveled to Lassen where their offense got back into the swing of things by downing the host Lady Cougars 12-2. Casie Jo Butrick had the hat trick with three goals. Natalie Frost had two goals and an assist, Madison Ruskit had two goals and four assists, Maddie Sandate had two goals and Brooke Talancon also had two goals with an assist. Lindsey Craig had a goal and two assists, Gabby Robles also found net with a goal, Aubree Haymore had a goal and assist and Kristin Fraga had two assists on the day. Goalkeeper Morgan Shingler had four saves on the day.

Nov. 5

North State power Yuba College came to Butte College where a hard fought battle saw the Lady Roadrunners lose 2-0. The defensive battle saw Yuba score  on two corner kicks as neither team was able to generate a goal in the run of play. Monica Augustine played in goal and earned five saves for the day.

Nov. 3

The Lady Roadrunners got back on track in GVC action by taking care of Shasta College 3-0. Kristin Fraga lead the way with two goals and JR Mueller added a third goal. Sierra Stoughton had two assists on the day while Monica Augustine played the full 90 in goal earning Butte College their tenth shut out of the year.

Oct. 30

The Lady Roadrunners were on the road again where they tied host College of the Redwoods 0-0. “The scoring line does not show well we played, unfortunately we could not find the back of the net. Although this is not the result we wanted we can still achieve our goal of another championship. We just have to take care of business”

Oct. 27

The battle with conference rivals Feather River College continued as the host Lady Eagles earned the result 3-2. The game was a physical and evenly played match up which saw Jordan Grant score off a Madison Ruskitt assist. Madison also had the second goal in the match and the Lady Roadrunners pressed the actions during the last 20 minutes but failed to find the equalizer. Monica Augustine had 12 saves on the day.

Oct. 23

The Lady Roadrunners continue to roll in GVC action as they routed visiting Lassen College 11-0. Natalie Frost lead the way with three goals. Madison Ruskitt and Casie Jo Butrick also had scored two goals and two assists each. Gabby Robles had two goals on the day and Sarah Kopenig and Zoe Benson each earned a goal apiece. Jordan Grant and Lily Mendoza had two assists each and Sierra Stoughton, Aubrey Haymore and Zoe Benson added assists in the match. Monica Augustine and Morgan Shingler combined for the ninth shut out of the year. 

Oct. 16

The Lady Roadrunners continued their winning ways by downing host Shasta College 4-0. Butte put the Lady Knights on their heels early with two goals in the first five minutes of play. Kristin Fraga scored off of a Casie Jo cross and minutes later Natalie Frost converted off of a Brooke Talancon service. The first half scoring finished with Aubree Haymore finding the back of the net on a Kristin Fraga corner kick. The Lady Roadrunners finished Shasta off with a Nathalie Cuellar goal, Monica Augustine and Morgan Shingler combined for the eighth shutout of the year.

Oct. 13

The Lady Roadrunners continued to roll in GVC action as they defeated visiting College of the Redwoods 3-0. Inclement weather caused a wet, wild and windy match which saw goals from Jordan Grant and two from Natalie Frost. On the assist to Frost were Casie Jo Butrick and Nathalie Cuellar. Monica Augustine and Morgan Shingler combined for another shut out as they earned two and one saves respectively.

Oct. 9

In GVC action the Lady Roadrunners defeated visiting Feather River College 2-0. The hard fought and physical match up was the toughest conference open to date. FRC had scored 29 goals in their previous three GVC matches but a stifling defense and outstanding goalkeeping by Monica Augustine kept the Lady Eagles out of the net. Sierra Stoughton struck first off a Madison Ruskitt assist. The match went 1-0 into the half and the second goal came in the 80th minute as Zoe Benson converted on a Kristin Fraga corner kick. The Lady Roadrunners finish the first leg of conference play undefeated as Coach Salindong stated, “We have worked very hard to be at this point in the season, and we are very proud as our players have rose to the challenge. We will continue to improve as our team continues to gain their rhythm and look forward to the rest of GVC play.”  

Oct. 6

Butte College got back on track by downing conference opponent Lassen College 8-0 on the road. Natalie Frost opened up the scoring and was assisted by Zoe Benson. Sarah Koenig had two goals on the day and was assisted by Maddie Sandate and Sierra Stoughton. Casie Jo Butrick connected with Madison Ruskitt for a goal. JR Mueller earned a goal off of a Nathalie Cuellar service. Gabby Robles was on the end of a Kristin Fraga ball while Sierra Stoughton was assisted by Sedona Mazza. Brooke Talancon finished off the scoring from a long ball from Jordan Grant. Monica Augustine and Morgan Shingler earned their fifth shutout of the season.

Oct. 2

The Lady Roadrunners lost to North State power Yuba College 1-0 in a back and forth match which saw Yuba strike in the 29th minute. The Lady Roadrunners continued to work the ball and create chances; however they were unable to find the back of the net as regulation time expired. “As a team we were able to implement many concepts we have been working on in our training during the match. Our side continues to gel together and grow.”

Sept. 29

Casie Jo Butrick, who was an all GVC selection in 2006 for Butte, scored two goals as the Lady Roadrunners earned another conference victory 2-0 over visiting Shasta College. Natalie Frost assisted the first Casie Jo goal and Nathalie Cuellar assisted the second. Monica Augustine and Morgan Shingler saw little action as they earned three and two saves while notching their fourth shut out of 2009.

Sept. 25

In their GVC conference opener Butte defeated the host Corsairs of Redwoods 3-1. The scoring opened up with a goal by Kristin Fraga which was assisted by Casie Jo Butrick. The second goal from the Lady Roadrunners was set up by Kristin Fraga and finished by Zoe Benson. The final strike was off of a Madison Ruskitt assist and finished by Natalie Frost. In goal Monica Augustine and Morgan Shingler split halves each with two saves. 

Sept. 22

The Lady Roadrunners earned another home victory against Los Medanos with a 4-0 win. Sierra Stoughton opened the scoring off of a Nathalie Cuellar assist. The second goal saw Kristin Fraga connect with Casie Jo Butrick for the goal. Butte took the 2-0 lead into the half and came out strong in the second with two goals from Natalie Frost, one assisted by Sierra Stoughton and the second assisted by Madison Ruskitt. The tandem of Monica Augustine and Morgan Shingler combined for the third shutout of the season.

Sept. 18

On the road the Lady Roadrunners were beat by North State power and 2008 Regional Champions Modesto Junior College 3-0. Monica Augustine and Morgan Shingler had seven saves each as they split halves. The Lady Roadrunners went down 2-0 at the half and MJC held off a strong second half push by Butte which saw them hit the post and miss the goal narrowly on several occasions. “Matches with teams such as MJC help the program immensely as we are able to gauge our ability to play with top tier competition. We will take these lessons into GVC play and be better for it.” 

Sept. 11

The first home match of 2009 saw the Lady Roadrunners come from behind downing Evergreen Valley College 2-1. Evergreen took the 1-0 lead into the half but Aubree Haymore found the back of the net from a Maddie Sandate assist in the second half. Aubree assisted Natalie Frost for the game winner late in the match. Goalkeepers Monica Augustine and Morgan Shingler again split halves with three saves a piece.   

Sept. 8

The Lady Roadrunners were on the road and handed host Ohlone College a 1-0 loss. The lone goal came from Nathalie Cuellar and was assisted by Casie Jo Butrick. Defensively Butte turned away Ohlone throughout the entire match. Goalkeepers Monica Augustine and Morgan Shingler combined for the shut out with five saves each.

Sept. 5

During the second game of the tournament Butte downed NJCAA powerhouse Cedar Valley College of Texas 3-0. Natalie Frost opened up the scoring off of a Madison Ruskitt assist in the opening minutes of the match. The Lady Roadrunners took the 1-0 lead into the half and came out the gates in the second half with two more goals as Madison Ruskitt earned a goal and Zoe Benson assisted Kristin Fraga for the final tally. Monica Augustine and Morgan Shingler combined for the first shut out of 2009 with six and three saves a piece as they split halves. 

Sept. 4

The Lady Roadrunners open 2009 with a loss at the Feather River Classic Tournament to Cal South Victor Valley 2-1. Down 1-0 at the half Butte equalized off of a goal from Maddie Sandate who was assisted by Kristin Fraga. A PK for Victor Valley put them ahead as the Lady Roadrunners tried to find a second goal with several quality looks in the last minutes of the match but came up short as time expired. In goal Monica Augustine had four saves in the first half and Morgan Shingler had three in the second.
