Butte College will be hosting the North Valley Soccer Academy, Spring 2013 Academy from March 4th to May 15th. Training times & days will be Mondays & Wednesdays from 5:00-7:00 on the Main Campus. The focus of the Academy will be High School age and above female athletes (U-14 to U-23) who wish to participate in a competitive and comprehensive training environment. The Academy will also be scheduling matches with club teams and colleges with games to be played at Butte College. Early registration for the Academy will be $175/player until February 1st, after that it will be $200/player. Please inquire about family discounts.

Tony Salindong, Butte College Women's Soccer Head Coach,
Coach Salindong's college coaching experience includes currently being the Butte College Women's Head Coach (2006-Present).Coach has also spent time at Yuba College as the Assistant Coach (1998-2004) and Lassen College as the Head Men's Coach & GK Coach (2005). During his time as a collegiate coach he has had the opportunity to coach 2 All-Americans, 4 All-Region, and numerous four year college transfers (DI, DII, & NAIA). Coach has also been involved actively in youth & High School soccer since 1996 coaching in Manteca at Sierra High School and with several youth clubs including Modesto Ajax, Manteca Rangers, SJSFC Premier, Azzuri FC, and most recently Butte United. Coach Salindong has coached youth, high school, and community college players who have moved on to such schools as University of the Pacific, Arizona State, Florida Gulf Coast, Xavier, Chico State and Sonoma State.
Deborah Carey, Butte College Women's Asst. Coach
Coach Carey is the director of the North Valley Soccer Academy and the first Assistant at Butte College. She brings with her a wealth of playing and coaching experience. Coach has played at home for English semi-professional sides Chelsea, Crystal Palace, and Holmesdale and collegiately Coach played at CSU Chico. Coach Carey is certified through the English F.A. with a Level 2 license and also through the National Soccer Coaches Association of America, locally she has coached at Paradise and Red Bluff High School and is currently coaching and training through the Butte United Soccer Club.
The primary focus of the Academy will be to offer training methods and an environment similar to those at the collegiate level. Dedicated goalkeeper training will also be available. If you are a youth player on the women's side who is looking to take your game to the next level this academy will offer the tools to help achieve your goals.
