TRiO

TRiO Student Support Services at Butte College provides opportunities for academic development, assists students with basic college requirements, and serves to motivate students towards the successful completion of their postsecondary education and ultimate transfer to a University. The goal of TRiO Student Support Services is to increase the college retention and graduation rates of it participants and facilitate the process of transition from one level of higher education to the next.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for TRiO SSS, students must be planning to transfer to a four-year institution to earn a Bachelors Degree. The student also must meet at least one of the following criteria:

• Meet Federal Low Income guidelines
• First Generation college student (Neither of your parents has a Bachelors Degree)
• Student with a documented disability

Students must also be:

• A U.S. citizen or permanent resident
• Enrolled as a student at Butte College
