Disabled Students Programs & Services (DSPS)


The Disabled Students Programs and Services (DSPS) Department is the campus office responsible for determining and providing required academic accommodations for students with disabilities. The DSPS program provides support services, specialized instruction, and educational accommodations to students with disabilities so that they can participate as fully and benefit as equitably from the college experiences as their non-disabled peers.
Available Services

Examples of services available through DSPS that are in addition to those regularly offered by the College include:

  • Testing Accommodations
  • Assessment for Learning Disabilities (limited and at the discretion of the director)
  • Specialized Counseling
  • Interpreter Services for hearing-impaired students
  • Mobility Assistance
  • Note-taking Services
  • Reader Services
  • Transcription Services
  • Registration Assistance
  • Specialized Instruction
  • Adaptive Technology

DSPS Locations

On the Main Campus:
Our office is open Monday - Thursday from 8:00am- 3pm. Friday 8am - 11:30am 
We are located in SAS - 238


On the Chico Center Campus:
Our office is open on Wednesdays from 8am - 11am  and  1pm - 2:30 pm on a Same Day Appointment basis.
Stop by the Chico Center Front Desk and ask to see a DSPS Specialist.
