The Center for Academic Success provides many resources in support of academic success for all Butte College students. We focus on helping students gain strategies and skills they can apply in a variety of settings and in a variety of ways across the curriculum. Our four Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs) summarize what students will ideally achieve as a result of their participation in CAS programs and services:
CAS Student Learning Outcomes
1. Effective Use of Resources
2. Successful Application of Learning Strategies
3. Effective Use of Self-Assessment Strategies
4. Retention and Success
The complete list of CAS SLOs, which includes the description of corresponding knowledge and skills, is available in pdf format. On the second page of this document can be found some of the specific behaviors students will demonstrate when the outcomes have been successfully achieved.
Our goal in CAS is to help Butte College students succeed academically. Services are free for all currently enrolled Butte College students. Students are always asked to check in when accessing any CAS services.
