The Butte College Foundation serves as a vehicle to facilitate receipt of substantial community donations of property and equipment. These donations, in addition to surplus property from the College, are then sold through the Foundation's eBay store to generate revenue.

Gifts-in-kind received by the Foundation this year included two automobiles and five car engines which raised over $7,000. These revenues directly benefited the automotive department.

The Foundation is also an eBay Trading Assistant, which allows community members to sell items on consignment. We charge a flat fee of 45% of the final selling price, which the consignor may designate to benefit the department or program of their choice. (Internal consignments originating from Butte College employees or groups are charged 25%.)
