7 Days to Pay

Students have 7 days from the time of registration to pay fees or they will be dropped from one or more classes. To avoid being dropped, take one of the following steps:

1) Pay fees in full.

2) Show proof of sufficient eligibility for financial assistance. Complete a FAFSA or provide proof of other financial assistance (scholarship, patron agreement, etc.) to the Butte College Business Office.
*Note: FAFSA's must be completed at least 72 hours prior to the drop deadline.

3) Create a fee payment plan online.

Students are responsible for making payment arrangements or providing verification of exemption status in a timely manner. Those who do not pay fees or make arrangements to pay fees will be dropped from one or more classes. Once you have registered you can view payment or exemption status in MyBC. If you currently have a $0.00 balance and you are enrolled into a class from the waitlist and that class causes you to have a balance you will have 7 days to pay the additional fees or you may be dropped from one or more classes. STUDENTS WHO ARE WAITLISTED SHOULD REGULARLY CHECK THEIR E-MAIL FOR CONFIRMATION OF ENROLLMENT SO THAT THEY ARE NOT UNINTENTIONALLY DROPPED. OFFICIAL COMMUNICATIONS BETWEEN THE STUDENT AND THE COLLEGE ARE SENT TO THE STUDENT'S COLLEGE ISSUED E-MAIL ADDRESS. FOR INFORMATION ON FORWARDING COLLEGE E-MAIL TO ANOTHER ACCOUNT VISIT STUDENT TECHNICAL SUPPORT.

If you currently have a payment plan on file the balance of the plan and your monthly installments should automatically adjust to cover any additional expenses. It is your responsibility to ensure that the additional fees are covered by your payment plan so that you are not dropped from classes.
